Safety Alert
August 5, 1999
Telefactor CTE64

Safety Alert

This page contains a listing of bugs or configuration issues that may result in the incorrect display of EEG data. We will describe the problem, work-arounds when available, and what version of the software fixes the problem.

Thanks for your patience and support in addressing these issues.
5-August-99 Telefactor CTE64
Version 1999.08.04 is available from our Download Page and corrects a display problem (repeated segments) on Telefactor CTE64 files. You may install 1999.08.04 over your current version of the EEG Suite.
23-June-99 Nicolet Satellite ES/Embla
Version 1999.06.23 is available from our Download Page and corrects the display problem with channels on Satellite ES/Embla recordings that have different sampling rates. You may install 1999.06.23 over your current version of the EEG Suite.
15-June-99 Nicolet Satellite ES/Embla
Insight may incorrectly display channels that are set to use different sampling rates, e.g., if the EEG channels are set to 200 Hz sampling and the EKG channel is set to 100 Hz sampling. Insight will display all channels using the sampling rate of the first channel. This applies to Satellite ES/Embla ambulatory recorders only. No other data formats are affected.

At this point it will be necessary to set up the Satellite ES/Embla recorder to use the same sampling rate for all channels. For previously recorded studies, it will be necessary to remove/rename the offending channel (e.g., if the EKG channel file is Mydata01.ebe rename it to Mydata01.xxx).

We are working to fix the problem, and this page will be updated accordingly. You should be able to obtain a fixed version of the software from our download page shortly.
16-April-98 DG StudyManager
The Download Page includes an updated version (1.0.0.5) of the DG StudyManager that will correct the problem listed below. Download the executable DGStudy.exe into your Persyst\Insight folder. To verify that you have the correct version, right click on DGStudy.exe from the Windows Explorer and select Properties and choose the Version tab.
26-Feb-98 DG StudyManager
The DG StudyManager may incorrectly copy a record from a 940MB non-erasable optical disk resulting in the wrong traces being displayed for a patient. This problem only seems to occur in disks that are nearly full. We are unsure whether the problem occurs with the 1.4GB non-erasable disk.

The majority of sites, which use erasable disks, should be unaffected by this problem.

At this point it is best to not use the DG StudyManager with 940MB non-erasable disks. However, if you must, verify that the correct traces are displayed in Insight by comparing them to those displayed by the DG system.

We are working to fix the problem, and this page will be updated accordingly. You should be able to obtain a fixed version of the software from our download page shortly.
